Election workers serve on the frontlines of our democracy, helping Americans to freely exercise their right to vote. Poll workers do the essential but often underappreciated work of managing our elections—from opening polling locations in the early hours of the morning to processing absentee ballots.
However, in recent years, bad actors have threatened, stalked, and even tried to harm poll workers and other election officials just by doing their jobs. And elections offices don’t have the personnel or equipment to keep them–and our elections–safe.
This can’t continue. Congressional leadership must step up and provide the funding needed to keep election workers safe and ensure everyone can exercise their freedom to vote. In two clicks, send a pre-written email urging them to earmark $75 million for election support.
